HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-173-10/21/1986-STREET OVERSIZING TASK FORCE RESOLUTION 86-173 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS CREATING A STREET OVERSIZING TASK FORCE WHEREAS, City staff previously worked with a citizen committee comprised of developers, bankers, engineers, appraisers and attorneys which presented to the City Council a new fee structure for street oversizing; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City that a Task Force be created to investigate alternative methods for financing street oversizing costs that serve city-wide needs; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that said Task Force be composed of nine people: four from the development community and five from the community at large; and WHEREAS, the Task Force would be active for a period of one year commencing from the date of appointment of its members and would be charged with investigating long term funding methods for street oversizing costs and making recommendations to City Council based on that investigation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that there hereby is created a Street Oversizing Task Force to be composed of three members of the development community, three members from the community at large and three City staff members. The Street Oversizing Task Force shall commence activity from the date of the appointment of its members and shall investigate long term funding methods for street oversizing costs within the City and shall make recommendation to City Council within one year of the appointment of its members.
