OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
WITH CENTENNIAL ENGINEERING FOR THE PREPARATION
OF AN UPDATE TO THE STATE OF COLORADO RAIL PLAN
IN THE FORT COLLINS AREA
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has received an award of a Federal
Rail Administration grant for a rail planning study; and
WHEREAS, the City's Purchasing Department released Request for
Proposal /Qualifications (P-97) to solicit consultants to prepare this
planning study; and
WHEREAS, three proposals were received and the selection committee
determined that Centennial Engineering was the applicant best qualified to
perform the study; and
WHEREAS, the fee for professional services for the rail planning study
is Twenty-Six Thousand Dollars ($26,000.00) ; and
WHEREAS, the City is required to provide local matching funds of
thirty percent (30%) toward the cost of the study; and
WHEREAS , these funds are available and appropriated in the
Transportation Fund; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, that the City Manager be; and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with Centennial Engineering for the preparation of an
update to the State of Colorado Rail Plan in the Fort Collins area, said
services to be performed for a sum not to exceed Twenty-Six Thousand
Dollars ($26,000.00) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 18th day of June, A.D. 1985.
