OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
WITH CARE-A-VAN FOR SPECIALIZED TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
FOR THE ELDERLY, HANDICAPPED AND ECONOMICALLY
DISADVANTAGED RESIDENTS OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City has received grant monies from the Urban Mass
Transportation Administration for transportation services within the City;
and
WHEREAS, Care-A-Van is a non-profit corporation formed for the purpose
of providing transportation services to disabled and elderly persons; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the residents of the City of
Fort Collins that Care-A-Van be contracted to provide transportation
services for the elderly, handicapped and economically disadvantaged
residents of the City; and
WHEREAS, Care-A-Van will provide these services for the period January
1, 1985 to December 31, 1985 for an amount not to exceed Sixty-Eight
Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty-Four Dollars ($68,864) ; and
WHEREAS, the City has allocated $58,364 in federal grant monies to
Care-A-Van in the 1985 Budget and has budgeted $10,500 in the Transfort
budget as the City's contribution for these specialized services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a contract for specialized transportation services for the elderly,
handicapped and economically disadvantaged residents of Fort Collins with
Care-A-Van for a sum not to exceed Sixty-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred and
Sixty-Four Dollars.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 2nd day of July , sA.D. 1985. /J
