HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-122-08/20/1985-CALLING UPON THE LARIMER WELD COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS TO TAKE THE LEAD IN COORDINATING ACTIVITIES TO RESOLUTION 85-122 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS CALLING UPON LARIMER WELD COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS TO TAKE THE LEAD IN COORDINATING ACTIVITIES TO SECURE A TRAIL ALONG THE POUDRE RIVER BETWEEN FORT COLLINS AND GREELEY WHEREAS, the Larimer Weld Council of Governments contracted with the University of Denver for the exploration and design of a completed Poudre River Trail between the Cities of Fort Collins and Greeley, and WHEREAS, the exploration, reconnaissance and design studies for the trail are now completed and the findings submitted to Larimer Weld Council of Governments; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Fort Collins, Greeley, Larimer and Weld Counties that this river trail be completed as quickly as possible for the enjoyment of the residents of Fort Collins, Greeley, Larimer and Weld Counties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Council calls upon and urges the Larimer Weld Council of Governments to coordinate activities between of Fort Collins, Greeley, Larimer County and Weld County to secure a trail along the Poudre River between Fort Collins and Greeley. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 20th day of August, A.D. 1985. Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk
