OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
MAKING FINDINGS RELATING TO THE APPEAL OF THE
LAKE STREET VILLAGE PUD PRELIMINARY
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of June, 1985, the Planning and Zoning Board
of the City of Fort Collins denied preliminary approval of the Lake Street
Village PUD; and
WHEREAS, that decision of the Planning and Zoning Board was appealed
to the City Council by the applicant; and
WHEREAS, the City Council met on the 16th day of July, 1985,
considered the ap
peal of the Lake Street Village PUD Preliminary and voted
to send the item back to the Planning and Zoning Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
1. The proposed Lake Street Village PUD Preliminary represents a
high quality infill development project which, with
modifications, can be an appropriate development for the
proposed site.
2. The concerns presented by the Prospect-Shields Neighborhood
Association are legitimate and deserve further consideration.
3. Notwithstanding the Planning and Zoning Board's denial of
preliminary approval , the parties involved should continue to
work together for an agreeable solution to development on
this site.
4. The decision of the Planning and Zoning Board to deny
preliminary approval of t heLake Street Village PUD
preliminary plan is hereby referred back to the Planning and
Zoning Board for further review and consideration.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 6th day of August, A.D. 1985.
