OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
GIVING DIRECTION TO THE CITY MANAGER WITH REGARD
TO BID PACKAGE #5 FOR THE INDOOR POOL/ICE ARENA
WHEREAS, the City Council has had an opportunity to review the
progress of the indoor pool/ice arena project; and
WHEREAS, as a result, the award of the bid package for the footings,
foundations and structural steel for the project has been delayed to allow
the City Council to review these bids; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has now had an opportunity to review said
bids; and
WHEREAS, the bids received were less than the estimated cost for said
bid package; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be appropriate
at this time to give the City Manager further direction as to how to
proceed on the project.
WHEREAS, the options as to how to proceed at this time are as follows:
OPTION A - Direct the City Manager to award Bid Package #5
(tootings, foundation and structural steel ) with no deductions
and continue as planned.
OPTION B - Direct the City Manager to award Bid Package #5 with
certain deduct alternates eliminated.
OPTION C - Direct the City Manager to delay the award of Bid
Package #5 at this time but put the project on a City Council
meeting agenda in October 1985, so that the City Council may
review all bids received at that time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, given the following
direction with regard to the indoor pool/ice arena project:
Proceed with Option A.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 6th day of August, A.D. 1985.
