OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
RESOURCE CONSULTANTS, INC. , FOR DRAINAGE MASTER
PLANNING FOR THE OLD TOWN DRAINAGE BASIN
WHEREAS, the City stormwater utility has undertaken a master planning
process for all drainage basins in the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, the Old Town Basin is the final basin to be analyzed and have
a master plan completed; and
WHEREAS, Request for Proposal/Qualifications (P-97) were released to
solicit consultants to perform the tasks necessary to develop a master plan
for the Old Town Basin; and
WHEREAS, interviews were held with the top four of eleven firms
submitting proposals and the highest rating was given to Resource
Consultants, Inc. of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, Resource Consultants, Inc. will perform the work for a fee of
Eighty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($87,600. ) ; and
WHEREAS, the Storm Drainage Board has reviewed this proposal and
recommends that Resource Consultants, Inc. be awarded the contract; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000.) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a professional services agreement with Resource Consultants, Inc. , for
drainage master planning for the Old Town Drainage Basin, said services to
be performed by Resource Consultants, Inc. for a sum not to exceed
Eighty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($87,600.) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 21st day of October, A.D 1986.
