HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-051-03/18/1986-AMENDING RESOLUTION 85-179 TO ELIMINATE NON-RESIDENT GREEN FEES PREVIOUSLY CHARGED AT THE CITY PARK RESOLUTION 86- 51 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING RESOLUTION 85-179 TO ELIMINATE NON-RESIDENT GREEN FEES PREVIOUSLY CHARGED AT CITY PARK NINE AND COLLINDALE GOLF COURSES WHEREAS, on October 1, 1985, the Council of the City of Fort Collins adopted Resolution 85-179 which established the "1986 Fees and Charges Schedule" for all City-owned golf courses; and WHEREAS, the Golf Board unanimously recommends that the nonresident green fee charge of One Dollar ($1.00) for each nine holes of golf be eliminated as it is no longer necessary in 1986; and WHEREAS, the Golf Board believes that this non-resident fee deters golfers from playing at City Park Nine and Collindale golf courses; and WHEREAS, the original intent of the charge was to ease crowded conditions at the City-owned golf courses; and WHEREAS, those crowded conditions have been eased by South Ridge golf course and out-of-city players are no longer dominating tee times as was the perception in 1980 when the charge was originally levied; and WHEREAS, elimination of the non-resident green fee will hopefully increase general green fee revenues from out-of-city golfers who may have been discouraged in the past; and WHEREAS, the Golf Board recommends that the elimination of the non-resident green fee be effective April 1, 1986. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: 1. That the non-resident green fee as established by Resolution 85-179 be, and the same hereby is, eliminated. 2. That the effective date of this Resolution shall be April 1, 1986. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 18th day of March, 1986.
