OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY
FOR A SANITARY WASTE TRANSFER STATION
WHEREAS, Larimer County desires to phase out the acceptance of liquid
waste at the Larimer County landfill ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has excess capacity to treat liquid
waste at its wastewater treatment plants; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins and Larimer County desire that a
sanitary waste transfer station be constructed and operated for the
transfer and treatment of such liquid waste; and
WHEREAS, Section 29-1-203, C.R.S. , authorizes the parties to enter
into an intergovernmental agreement to provide any function, service or
facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor is authorized to enter into the Septage Transfer
Agreement between the City and Larimer County, Colorado, attached hereto as
Exhibit A.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 18th day of August, A.D. 1987.
