HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-108-08/04/1987-DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION PARTICIPATION POLICY PRIVATE SECTOR TRANSIT URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION ACT RESOLUTION 87-108 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE FILING AND EXECUTION OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS' PRIVATE SECTOR PARTICIPATION POLICY FOR TRANSIT AS REQUIRED BY THE US DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION UNDER THE URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION ACT OF 1964, AS AMENDED WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Transportation has issued formal rules concerning private sector participation in the provision of transit services; and WHEREAS, these rules impose certain obligations upon the recipient of federal transit funds, both financially and in its provision of service; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the best interest of both the City and the citizens of Fort Collins to submit and execute a local process for the participation of the private sector in the provision of transit services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1 . That the Transfort Bus System of the City of Fort Collins will comply with the rules and obligations of UMTA Circular C-7005. 1 through implementation of its Private Sector Participation Policy for Transit. Section 2. That the Transfort Grants Administrator be, and hereby is, authorized to furnish such additional information as the U.S. Department of Transportation may require in connection with the implementation of the City of Fort Collins' Private Sector Participation Policy For Transit Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 4th day of August, A.D. 1987. ��Ma ATTEST: 0� City Clerk
