OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF THREE PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED IN BLOCK 31
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has heretofore purchased property in
the City of Fort Collins in the block bounded on the south by Mountain
Avenue, on the west by Howes Street, on the north by Laporte Avenue and on
the east by Mason Street (hereinafter referred to as "Block 31") ; and
WHEREAS, Johnny Cailleteau, D.D.S. , the owner of a parcel of land
located within Block 31, desires to convey said parcel to the City and
County in consideration of the payment of a purchase price of Sixty-Three
Thousand Dollars ($63,000.) with the condition that the property be leased
to Dr. Tim Bourden for a period of three (3) years; and
WHEREAS, Toliver's Inc. , the owner of two parcels of land located
within Block 31, desires to convey said parcels to the City and County in
consideration of the payment of a purchase price of Six Hundred Ninety
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars (E690,500.) ; and
WHEREAS, in 1984 the City executed an Intergovernmental Agreement with
Larimer County authorizing the City to enter into negotiations for these
properties; and
WHEREAS, said Intergovernmental Agreement also committed Larimer
County to the payment of fifty percent (50%) of the cost of these parcels;
and
WHEREAS, monies are available pay the City's share of the cost of
acquisition of these parcels; and
WHEREAS, purchase of these parcels will complete the land acquisition
phase for Block 31.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into
Agreements of Sale and Purchase for purchase of the property located in
Block 31 owned by Dr. Johnny Cailleteau for a purchase price not to exceed
Sixty-Three Thousand Dollars ($63,000.) and the property located in Block
31 owned by Toliver's Inc. , for a purchase price not to exceed Six Hundred
Ninety Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($690,500.) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 3rd day of June, A.D. 1986.
