OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO QUITCLAIM
TO NEIGHBOR-TO-NEIGHBOR, INC. ANY INTEREST
THE CITY HAS IN THE HOUSE OR REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT
732 ALTA VISTA STREET
WHEREAS, in March of 1977, the City of Fort Collins and Neighbor-
to-Neighbor, Inc, entered into an agreement to move a City-owned house to
property owned by Neighbor-to-Neighbor located at 732 Alta Vista Street;
and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this move was to provide office space for
Neighbor-to-Neighbor and temporary housing for families whose homes were
being rehabilitated through the City 's Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) Housing Rehabilitation Program; and
WHEREAS, Neighbor-to-Neighbor has worked closely with CDBG to
redevelop homes in the Buckingham, Alta Vista, and Andersonville
neighborhoods and has donated several houses to CDBG to be used to replace
homes of housing rehabilitation applicants whose structures were so
deteriorated that economical rehabilitation work was impossible; and
WHEREAS, adequate consideration exists in the form of past and future
community services rendered by Neighbor-to-Neighbor to the City to warrant
the relinquishment of any City interest in the aforementioned house located
at 732 Alta Vista Street; and
WHEREAS, this house is not used nor intended to be used for municipal
purposes; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Fort Collins that
any ownership interest in the house located at 732 Alta Vista Street be
relinquished to Neighbor-to-Neighbor, Inc. ; and
WHEREAS, Section 26-2 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins provides
that any property to be alienated by the City must be done so by a
resolution adopted by the City Council .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute good and
sufficient deeds of conveyance relinquishing to Neighbor-to-Neighbor, Inc.
any interest in the house or real property located at 732 Alta Vista
Street.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 3rd day of June, A.D. 119
