HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-080-05/06/1986-COMPOSITION SENIOR ADVISORY BOARD RESOLUTION 86-80 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS SETTING OUT THE COMPOSITION OF THE SENIOR ADVISORY BOARD WHEREAS, Resolution 68-26 established a nine-member Fort Collins Coordinating Commission for Senior Citizens; and WHEREAS, Resolution 79-118 changed the name of said Commission to the Senior Citizen's Board; and WHEREAS, the Council wishes to rename said Board as the Senior Advisory Board; and WHEREAS, the Council desires to modify the composition of the nine-member Board to reserve two positions on the Board for appointees from the Senior Center Board. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1 . That the Senior Citizen's Board be, and it hereby is, renamed the "Senior Advisory Board. " Section 2. That the Senior Advisory Board shall be composed of nine (9) members and two (2) alternate members, with two (2) of the regular members to be appointed by the Senior Center Board for two-year terms, and the remainder of the regular members and the alternate members to be appointed by the City Council for staggered four-year terms. Section 3. That the effective date of the change in the composition of the membership shall be July 1, 1986. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 6th day of May, A.D. 1986. Mayor ATTEST: %" City Clerk
