HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-153-09/03/1985-AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CHANGE ORDER WITH STERLING PAVING COMPANY TO CONSTRUCT RESOLUTION 85- 153 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CHANGE ORDER WITH STERLING PAVING COMPANY TO CONSTRUCT IMPROVEMENTS ON CANYON STREET AS PART OF THE MASON-HOWES ONE WAY COUPLET PROJECT WHEREAS, City staff has determine that the remedial changes originally planned for the intersection of Canyon, Oak and Howes Streets as part of the Mason-Howes One Way Couplet Project are not the best solution to the traffic problems at that intersection; and WHEREAS, total cost for the full improvements needed at Canyon, Oak and Howes is Eighty-Five Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($85,200.) ; and WHEREAS , monies are available to be transferred from the Timberline-Prospect to Harmony and Bikeway Project to the Mason-Howes One Way Couplet Project to cover the cost of the full improvements; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Capital Project Management Control System, City Council must approve all change orders in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000. ) . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute a change order with Sterling Paving Company in an amount not to exceed Eighty-Five Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($85,200.) to construct full improvements needed at the Canyon, Oak and Howes Streets intersection as a part of the Mason-Howes One Way Couplet Project.
