OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE LARIMER-WELD REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS
FOR STAFF SERVICES ON THE NORTH FRONT RANGE CORRIDOR STUDY
WHEREAS, the Federal Government, pursuant to various federal statutes,
has established guidelines which call for a continuing comprehensive and
cooperative transportation planning process to be conducted in each
urbanized area of the United States; and
WHEREAS, the Larimer-Weld Regional Council of Governments (LWRCOG) has
been designated as the metropolitan planning organization to assume
responsibilities to implement said transportation planning in the North
Front Range; and
WHEREAS, the LWRCOG has authority to distribute Colorado Department of
Highways Planning Funds to areas within its jurisdictions to pay for the
services of City staff members; and
WHEREAS, under this agreement City staff members will provide in-kind
services worth Five Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,750) for the
general purposes of data provision, on-going project review, and guidance
to consultants and the LWRCOG Steering Committee; and
WHEREAS, LWRCOG shall reimburse the City Five Thousand Dollars
($5,000) from the Colorado Department of Highways Planning Funds for the
in-kind services of City staff members; and
WHEREAS, the City's matching funds of 13% or up to Seven Hundred Fifty
Dollars ($750) are available in the 1985 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City shall bill the LWRCOG quarterly for monies expended
for staff time, expenses for travel and per diem for project meetings, and
the costs of data provision such as computer time or the duplication and/or
printing of data or other information.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with the Larimer-Weld Regional Council of Governments for
the provision of in-kind services of City staff members and the payment of
matching funds not to exceed Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750) for a
comprehensive transportation plan in the North Front Range.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
17th day of September, A.D. 1985.
