OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH LARIMER COUNTY FOR THE USE OF THE CITY'S UNIMOG
AND SNOW CUTTER FOR SPRING SNOW REMOVAL ON COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of a Unimog tractor and Schmidt snow
cutter for use in removing snow from City streets ; and
WHEREAS, Larimer County has a need for the usage of this equipment for
spring snow removal of certain mountain roads within the County ; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that
it is desirable for the City to come to the assistance of the County with
respect to the spring snow removal on said mountain roads by making provi-
sion to the County of said Unimog tractor and Schmidt snow cutter, together
with a City operator, for the purpose of conducting such snow removal
operation; and
WHEREAS, the County is willing to reimburse the City for all of its
expenses associated with the operation of the equipment, including opera-
tor, fuel , parts, repair labor and replacement set-aside incurred in
connection with the operation of said equipment on behalf of the County;
and
WHEREAS, the County has further agreed that in the event that the
equipment should be needed by the City during the time that it is being
used for County purposes, the City' s needs shall have priority; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that
an Intergovernmental Agreement setting forth the terms and conditions as
hereinabove provided should be executed between the City and the County for
the purpose of providing limited snow removal services on tertian mountain
roads in Larimer County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute an
Agreement between the City and Larimer County, Colorado for the purpose of
providing limited snow removal equipment and services, all as hereinbefore
set forth, and upon such other terms and conditions as are contained in
said Agreement.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 15th day of January, A.D.�1985.
