CREATING A NATURAL RESOURCES ADVISORY
BOARD (NRAB) AND AUTHORIZING THE
COUNCIL TO MAKE APPOINTMENTS THERETO
WHEREAS, on December 11, 1984, staff recommended to City Council that
a Natural Resources Advisory Board (NRAB) be established in the City of
Fort Collins to advise the City Council and help the staff analyze various
natural resources issues and to aid and guide the development of city-wide
natural resources programs ; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration, Council determined that such advi-
sory board is needed and that the Council appoint representatives from
within natural resources areas and the community at large; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has a Department of Natural Re-
sources and is developing programs in the natural resources and environ-
mental issue areas of vegetation and wildlife, hazardous materials , re-
cycling, composting, air and water quality and other related areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That a natural resources advisory committee, hereinafter
to be known as the Natural Resources Advisory Board be, and it hereby is,
established.
Section 2. That the Council of the City of Fort Collins be, and it
hereby is , vested with the authority to appoint nine (9) representatives
and two (2) alternates to said committee as the need arises.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held
this 19th day of February, A.D. 1985.
