HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-184-11/18/1986-AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH BERGER AND COMPANY OF DENVER FOR THE PU RESOLUTION 86-184 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH BERGER AND COMPANY OF DENVER FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING A STUDY OF THE CITY'S UTILITY BILLING SYSTEM WHEREAS, the present utility billing system used by the City of Fort Collins needs to be upgraded to correct current problems and meet future demands; and WHEREAS, in July of 1986, the City's Purchasing Department released a Request for Proposal to solicit consultants to conduct a study of the utility billing system which would be Phase I of the upgrading of the entire system; and WHEREAS, an evaluation team reviewed the responses, conducted interviews and selected Berger and Company of Denver as the firm best suited to perform the necessary work; and WHEREAS, the cost of Phase I is anticipated to be Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars ($95,000) ; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars (E20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council in an open Council meeting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with Berger and Company of Denver, Colorado, for Phase I of the selection, acquisition, and implementation of a new utility billing system for the City of Fort Collins at a cost not to exceed Ninety-Five Thousand Dollars ($95,000) . Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 18th day of November, A.D. 1986. Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk
