OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2707 SOUTH TAFT HILL ROAD
FOR SPRING CREEK BASIN DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, a study conducted by City staff and Engineering Professionals,
Inc. indicated a need for the acquisition of land to accommodate a regional
detention facility immediately adjacent to South Taft Hill Road; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has adopted the updated 1988 Spring Creek
Master Plan that recommends that the regional detention facility be immediately
adjacent to Taft Hill Road; and
WHEREAS, City staff has negotiated a price for the regional detention
facility site located at 2707 South Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins, Colorado, of
Two Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($225,000.00) ; and
WHEREAS, funds for the purchase of this site are appropriated and available
in the Stormwater Utility's 1991 capital improvements budget for Spring Creek
Basin; and
WHEREAS, the current zoning of the property is compatible with future City
use; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this site will promote the health, safety and
welfare of the residents near the Spring Creek Basin floodplain.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute such documents as are
necessary to purchase the property at 2707 South Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins,
Colorado for a price not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($225,000.00) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 16th day of April , A.D. 1991 .
