HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-006-01/15/1991-COMPENSATION FOR JUDGES MUNICIPAL ELECTION RESOLUTION 91- 6 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS SETTING THE COMPENSATION FOR JUDGES OF MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS WHEREAS, municipal election judges perform a valuable public service in conducting the election process at each polling place; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to provide a competitive compensation for this service; and WHEREAS, the compensation for municipal election judges has not been increased since 1982; and WHEREAS, current rates of compensation for election judges in Larimer County have been reviewed; and WHEREAS, Section 7-42 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins provides that judges of the election shall receive compensation for their services in an amount established by the City Council by resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1 . The compensation for judges selected in each precinct to deliver the election returns, registration book, and other election papers and supplies to the City Clerk shall be increased from Fifty-four Dollars ($54) to Sixty Dollars ($60) . Section 2. The compensation for all other municipal election judges shall be increased from Fifty Dollars ($50) to Fifty-five Dollars ($55) . Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 15th day of January, A.D. , 1991 . Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk
