OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE 1995
FORT COLLINS CONSOLIDATED PLAN TO THE DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS,the National Affordable Housing Act("NAHA")requires that,in order to apply
for certain Department of Housing and Urban Development("HUD")programs, local governments
must have an approved Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS,representatives and individuals from the various housing and support services
agencies in the rommvnity and other individuals interested in affordable housing issues have
participated in the thirty day public review process required by HUD to develop the Fort Collins
Consolidated Plan("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the Plan contains a detailed discussion of the housing needs of low and
moderate income people of the community; presents a listing of priority housing programs and
support services that will attempt to address those needs during the next five years; and lists in a
"one year action plan"the specific projects which will help implement the priorities; and
WHEREAS,both the Affordable Housing Board and the Community Development Block
Grant Commission have reviewed the Plan and recommended to the Council that it be submitted to
HUD for approval;and
WHEREAS,the City Council conducted a public hearing on July 18, 1995,in order to solicit
citizen comments on the Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS,that the City Manager is hereby authorized to submit for approval the 1995 Fort Collins
Consolidation Plan to the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
