OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH EDAW, INC.
FOR THE FINAL DESIGN OF
ROSSBOROUGH PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has a policy of providing one
neighborhood park in every residentially developed square mile of the city,
and
WHEREAS, the City has acquired 10 acres of land in the Rossborough
Subdivision area for a neighborhood park; and
WHEREAS, the 1988 Parkland Fund budget includes $34,000 for the design
and $380,000 for construction of Rossborough Park; and
WHEREAS, in November, 1987, a Request for Proposals was issued with a
Scope of Work outlining the services expected of a professional consultant
for the final design of the park; and
WHEREAS, the selection committee reviewed seventeen proposals,
interviewed the top three firms and selected EDAW, Inc. as the best
qualified firm for this project; and
WHEREAS, staff has negotiated a time and reimbursable direct cost
contract with EDAW, Inc. for a fee not to exceed Twenty-four Thousand Four
Hundred Dollars ($24,400) ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a Professional Services Agreement with EDAW, Inc. for the design of
Rossborough Park for a sum not to exceed Twenty-four Thousand Four Hundred
Dollars ($24,400) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 16th day of February, A.D. 1988.
