OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF LOVELAND AND THE
FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND AIRPORT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Cities of Loveland and Fort Collins, acting pursuant to
the Public Airport Authority Act, have created the Fort Collins-Loveland
Airport Authority and by lease dated December 20, 1983, leased the Fort
Collins-Loveland Airport property to the Authority; and
WHEREAS, said lease between the Cities and the Airport Authority
expires by its own terms on December 31 , 1988; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Fort Collins to
extend the lease of the airport property to the Airport Authority at this
time to allow the continuing operation of the airport by the Airport
Authority in 1989.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an
intergovernmental agreement with the City of Loveland and the Fort
Collins-Loveland Airport Authority, extending the lease between the Cities
and the Airport Authority for one (1) year, which lease shall expire
December 31, 1989.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 20th day of December, A.D. 1988.
