OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ESTABLISHING A CITIZEN ADVISORY PANEL FOR
THE EXECUTIVE SEARCH PROCESS
WHEREAS, City Manager Steven C. Burkett resigned his position effective
October 21, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the City Council will engage in a search for a new City Manager;
and
WHEREAS, to conduct an effective search, the City Council desires to use
all sources of information that are available to it, including the citizens of
Fort Collins and staff members; and
WHEREAS, Council wishes to establish a citizen advisory panel to
participate in the executive search process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1. That a Citizen Advisory Panel is hereby established for the
following purposes:
a. to provide a community perspective regarding information
to be used in the development of the City Manager
position profile; and
b. to conduct panel interviews with the final candidates
and provide feedback to the City Council on the
strengths and weakness of each candidate.
Section 2. That said Citizen Advisory Panel shall consist of thirteen (13)
members who shall be residents of the Fort Collins Urban Growth Area and shall
represent a cross-section of the Fort Collins community.
Section 3. That said Citizen Advisory Panel shall be automatically
dissolved following the final selection of a City Manager.
