OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING RESOLUTION 91-85 CONCERNING THE
1991-92 CDBG PROGRAM'S PUTNAM-FULLANA
PLAYGROUND ACQUISITION PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 91-85, the Council of the City of Fort
Collins authorized the submission to the Department of Housing and Urban
Development of the 1991-92 Community Development Block Grant application; and
WHEREAS, said application included, as part thereof, funding in the sum of
Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) for the Putnam-Fullana Parent Teacher
Organization (PTO) for the purpose of acquiring land and, to the extent that
excess funds were available, playground equipment to expand the school 's
playground and athletic fields for neighborhood and community use; and
WHEREAS, on November 25, 1991 , the Putnam-Fullana PTO transferred all of
its interest in the grant of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) to the Poudre
R-1 School District; and
WHEREAS, on December 3, 1991 , the Council adopted Resolution 91-160,
authorizing delivery of the Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) for land
acquisition and equipment purchase to the School District in lieu of the Putnam-
Fullana PTO; and
WHEREAS, on February 21 , 1992, the School District submitted a letter to
the City requesting that the proposed use of the Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($25,000) be changed from a land acquisition project to a playground equipment
purchase project; and
WHEREAS, the Council , by this Resolution, desires to amend Resolution 91-85
to authorize the delivery of CDBG funds in the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($25,000) to the Poudre R-1 School District for the purpose of purchasing
playground equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that Resolution 91-85 of the Council of the City of Fort Collins is hereby
amended to authorize the City Manager to, upon completion of all other conditions
imposed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, deliver CDBG grant
funds in the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) to the Poudre R-1
School District for the purpose of purchasing playground equipment for
installation at the Putnam School playground and athletic fields .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 21st day of April , A.D. 1992.
