OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING AND ENDORSING THE NOMINATION OF
LOREN MAXEY TO THE TRANSPORTATION AND
COMMUNICATION STEERING COMMITTEE
OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is a member city of the National League
of Cities; and
WHEREAS, the National League of Cities addresses the immediate and long-
term concerns of city officials and urban citizens; and
WHEREAS, the National League of Cities Steering Committees draft policy
statements for presentation to their respective Policy Committees; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to nominate a candidate to serve on the
Transportation and Communication Steering Committee of the National League of
Cities; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Loren Maxey has served the Fort Collins Community
in numerous capacities since his election to City Council office in 1987 and has
served on the National League of Cities Steering Committee on Transportation and
Communication.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins believes that
Councilmember Loren Maxey would be an excellent representative on the
Transportation and Communication Steering Committee of the National League of
Cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City Council formally approves and endorses the nomination of Loren
Maxey to the Transportation and Communication Steering Committee of the National
League of Cities.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 7th day of January, A.D. 1992.
