RECOMMENDING FIRE MARSHAL WARREN JONES
OF THE POUDRE FIRE AUTHORITY BE APPOINTED
TO THE STATE UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, underground storage tanks can pose public safety and environmental
hazards to the citizens of Fort Collins and the State of Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has taken a leadership role in addressing
underground storage tank problems within the Fort Collins area and the State of
Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins desires to maintain a high level of
participation in the implementation of the State Underground Storage Tank
program; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Bob Winokur has completed his term on the State
Underground Storage Tank Advisory Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the Council recommends to the Governor of the State of Colorado that Fire
Marshal Warren Jones of the Poudre Fire Authority be appointed to the Underground
Storage Tank Advisory Committee.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 7th day of January, A.D. 1992.
