OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE
POSTHUMOUSLY TO ROBERT R. ALEXANDER
FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY AS
A MEMBER OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD
WHEREAS, Robert R. Alexander was appointed as a member of the Parks and
Recreation Board on June 12, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Alexander served on the Parks and Recreation Board until his
death on January 10, 1992; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Alexander faithfully attended meetings of the Parks and
Recreation Board and actively participated in Board activities; and
WHEREAS, during Mr. Alexander's membership, the Parks and Recreation Board
endorsed the Natural Resources Department Environmental Management Plan,
recommended City Council approval of the Clarendon Hills neighborhood park, and
endorsed the Tree Resource Report and the Waste Wood Utilization Program; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Alexander was the Parks and Recreation Board's representative
on the Senior Center Building Committee; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Alexander was a resident of Fort Collins for approximately 42
years; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins, on behalf of the staff
of the City, fellow Parks and Recreation Board members, and the community,
wishes to formally express its appreciation and gratitude to Robert R. Alexander
posthumously for his contributions to the community and the City of Fort
Collins, and to express its profound and sincere sympathy to his widow, Betty
Jean Alexander, and to his entire family.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City Council adopt this Resolution to provide an enduring record of the
contributions of Robert R. Alexander to the community and to the City of Fart
Collins as a member of the Parks and Recreation Board.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 3rd day of March, A.D. 1992.
