HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-105-07/05/1988-AGREEMENT CACHE LA POUDRE RIVER FEASIBILITY STUDY NATIONAL RECREATION AREA PROFESSIONAL SERVICES SHA RESOLUTION 88-105 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SHALKEY WALKER ASSOCIATES, INC. , TO CONDUCT A FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE DESIGNATION OF THE CACHE LA POUDRE RIVER AS A NATIONAL RECREATION AREA WHEREAS, on June 7, 1988, Council approved Ordinance No. 74, 1988, appropriating unanticipated revenues to cover the cost of a consultant contract for the purpose of studying the feasibility of designating an 18.5 mile portion of the Cache La Poudre River as a National Recreation Area; and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has issued a request for proposals for the aforesaid study and has screened the proposals received in accordance with City policy and in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding among the City, Larimer County and the United States Forest Service; and WHEREAS, Shalkey Walker Associates, Inc. , has shown itself to be the firm best suited to successfully complete the study for an amount not to exceed Seventy-five Thousand Dollars (b75,000.00) ; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City that Shalkey Walker Associates, Inc. , be engaged to perform said study. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Shalkey Walker Associates, Inc. , for the purpose of conducting a feasibility study for the designation of the Cache La Poudre River as a National Recreation Area, for a cost not to exceed Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) .
