HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-101-07/05/1988-AGREEMENT BURLINGTON NORTHERN DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS RAILROAD CROSSING SIGNAL STATE OF COLORADO TIMBER RESOLUTION 88-101 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF COLORADO, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS, FOR THE FUNDING OF A RAILROAD CROSSING SIGNAL ON TIMBERLINE ROAD WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins desires to participate in the installation of a crossing signal on Timberline Road at the Burlington Northern Railroad crossing; and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has been granted Federal Railroad Crossing Safety Funds, administrated by the State of Colorado, Division of Highways, to assist in the payment of such a crossing signal ; and WHEREAS, funding for the City's share of costs is provided in the Railroad Crossing Improvement Program funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute the Agreement with the State of Colorado, Division of Highways, to provide for the funding of a railroad crossing signal on Timberline Road at the Burlington Northern Railroad crossing. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 5th day of July, A.D. 1988. M ATTEST: City Clerk
