OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED OF EASEMENT
TO PLATTE RIVER POWER AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of retiring the power plant substation
on College Avenue at the Cache La Poudre River; and
WHEREAS, to replace the power plant substation, the City will
construct the Linden Tech Substation; and
WHEREAS, the Linden Tech Substation will require the delivery of
transmission power from Platte River Power Authority; and
WHEREAS, an easement description has been established for the purpose
of conveying to Platte River Power Authority an easement for the
construction of transmission power lines to the Linden Tech Substation; and
WHEREAS, said easement is located on property owned by the City; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that said easement is not used or intended
to be used for municipal purposes, or secured for the purpose of being used
for municipal purposes, and that it is in the best interests of the City of
Fort Collins that the same be conveyed to Platte River Power Authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor is authorized to execute a good and sufficient deed
of conveyance of a transmission power line easement to Platte River Power
Authority for delivery of power to the Linden Tech Substation.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 7th day of July, A.D. 1987.
