OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH CARE-A-VAN TO OCCUPY
SHOP AND OFFICE SPACE IN THE SOUTHSIDE
SERVICE CENTER TRANSIT BUILDING
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is the owner of a facility known as
the "Southside Service Center Transit Building" located at 6570 Portner
Road in the City of Fort Collins, which facility is occupied by the
Transfort bus system; and
WHEREAS, Poudre-Thompson Transportation Corps, Inc. , dba Care-A-Van,
desires to lease shop and office space in the Transit Building from the
City; and
WHEREAS, space is available and the lease agreement with Care-A-Van
will provide income to be used to defray the expenses incurred by the City
in the operation of the Transit Building; and
WHEREAS, Poudre-Thompson Transportation Corps, Inc. , dba Care-A-Van,
desires to contract with the City for vehicle servicing; and
WHEREAS, the Lease Agreement provides that Care-A-Van will pay an
annual fee of Seventeen Thousand and Forty-eight Dollars ($17,048) to the
City for the space leased in the Transit Building for office, shop and
administrative services, and pay for all costs of servicing Care-A-Van's
vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an Agreement with Poudre-Thompson Transportation Corps, Inc. , dba as
Care-A-Van, for servicing vehicles and for the lease of seventeen thousand
five hundred and fifty (17,550) square feet of shop space and one thousand
eight hundred and fifty (1,850) square feet of office space at the City
Transit Building for an annual rental fee of Seventeen Thousand and
Forty-eight Dollars ($17,048) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
20th day of January, A.D. 1987.
