HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-119-07/21/1992-FAA FORT COLLINS/LOVELAND AIRPORT GRANT AGREEMENT RESCUE FIRE FIGHTING BUILDING RESOLUTION 92- 119 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR AN AIRPORT RESCUE FIRE FIGHTING BUILDING AT THE FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND AIRPORT WHEREAS, the Cities of Loveland and Fort Collins, Colorado ("Cities") jointly own and operate the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport ("Airport") ; and WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration ("FAA") has offered to provide the Cities with a grant of $353,200 for aircraft rescue and firefighting improvements at the Airport; and WHEREAS, the Cities have previously appropriated their proportionate sponsorship share of this project ($39,244) for the purpose of atching the anticipated FAA grant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1. That the City of Fort Collins shall , as co-sponsor with the City of Loveland, Colorado, accept the grant offered by the FAA for the purpose of obtaining federal aid to install aircraft rescue and firefighting equipment at the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport. Section 2. That the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement between the City of Fort Collins, the City of Loveland and the FAA for the receipt and use of grant funds in the sum of Three Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($353,200) to construct an Airport Rescue Fire Fighting Building at the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport.
