OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENTS WITH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS,
COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY, THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY AND
THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE FOR USE OF THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS INDOOR POLICE TRAINING FACILITY
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins' Police presently administer the use of
the City's Indoor Police Training Facility (the "Facility") ; and
WHEREAS, Police Services conducts firearms training and qualification
activities, as well as certain other law enforcement related training for its own
employees at the Facility; and
WHEREAS, certain other law enforcement agencies in the area have
historically used the Facility for these same types of activities; and
WHEREAS, Police services has negotiated the terms under which such use may
be maintained, including payments which will assist in funding the operation and
maintenance of the Facility; and
WHEREAS, Section 29-1-203, C.R.S. , authorizes governmental entities to
cooperate or contract with one another in order to provide any function, service
or facility lawfully authorized to each if such a contract is properly authorized
by each party thereto; and
WHEREAS, Article II, Section 16 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins
authorizes the Council , by ordinance or resolution, to enter into contracts with
other governmental bodies to furnish governmental services or enter into
cooperative or joint activities with other governmental bodies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into the following
intergovernmental agreements approving and ratifying the use of the above-
described facilities by other law enforcement agencies:
Section 1 . An agreement between the City of Fort Collins and the Colorado
Department of Corrections for use of the Facility for a minimum of three (3)
hours through June 30, 1993, upon payment of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150) .
Section 2. An agreement between the City of Fort Collins and Colorado
State University for use of the Facility for a minimum of sixty (60) hours
through June 30, 1993, upon payment of Four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars
($4,800) .
Section 3. An agreement between the City of Fort Collins and the Office
of the District Attorney for the Eighth Judicial District for use of the Facility
for a minimum of three (3) hours through December 31, 1992, upon payment of One
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150) .

Section 4. An agreement between the City of Fort Collins and the Internal
Revenue Service for use of the Facility for a minimum of three (3) hours through
December 31, 1992, based upon the Internal Revenue Service's fiscal year, upon
payment of One Hundred Fifty Dollars (E150) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 15th day of December, A.D. 1992.
