OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO
A CONTRACT FOR A LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE FUND PROJECT
WITH THE COLORADO DIVISION OF HIGHWAY SAFETY
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins, on behalf of the Police Department,
has submitted an application to the Colorado Division of Highway Safety,
Department of Highways, for funding a Law Enforcement Assistance Fund
("LEAF") project for the prevention of drunken driving and the enforcement
of laws pertaining to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and
WHEREAS, the City has responsibility for the supervision and funding
of the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, a contract for funding this LEAF project has been presented
to the City for approval and signature; and
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City authorizing the Mayor to execute
such contract on behalf of the City is required by the State of Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized, on behalf of the
City, to enter into a contract with the Colorado Division of Highway
Safety, Department of Highways, for the funding of a Law Enforcement
Assistance Fund project for the prevention of drunken driving and the
enforcement of laws pertaining to driving under the influence of alcohol or
drugs, with in-kind services to be provided by the City in the amount of
Twenty-five Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-nine Dollars ($25,989) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 18th day of October, A.D. 1 88.
