HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-153-10/04/1988-125 UNITS CBT WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT NORTHERN COLORADO WATER PURCHASE TEMPORARY USE PERMIT RESOLUTION 88- 153 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 125 UNITS OF CBT WATER AND APPROVING A TEMPORARY USE PERMIT FOR SAID WATER WITH THE NORTHERN COLORADO WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT WHEREAS, population and water demands are expected to continue to grow during the next several decades; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City that purchases of water be made in advance of actual use; and WHEREAS, from time to time, the City obtains units of water of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District (CBT water) to satisfy the City's water requirements; and WHEREAS, George and John Mayeda desire to convey to the City One Hundred Twenty-five (125) units of CBT water at a price of Seven Hundred Ninety Dollars ($790.00) per unit; and WHEREAS, the Water Board and staff recommend that the City purchase this water; and WHEREAS, such conveyance can be accomplished through the issuance of a Temporary Use Permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to purchase One Hundred Twenty-five (125) units of CBT water for the total sum of Ninety-eight Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($98,750.00) ; and that a Temporary Use Permit granted by the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District for a total of One Hundred Twenty-five (125) units of CBT water for the use of the City be, and the same hereby is, approved. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 4th day of October 1988. ATTEST: Mayor City Clerk
