HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-144-09/02/1986-ADDENDUM DISTRICT FORT COLLINS LOVELAND WATER IGA SANITATION DISTRICT SOUTH FORT COLLINS RESOLUTION 86-144 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR THE EXECUTE AN ADDENDUM TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY, THE FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND WATER DISTRICT AND THE SOUTH FORT COLLINS SANITATION DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has previously executed an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District and the South Fort Collins Sanitation District which created service area boundaries for each and provided for the operation of each entity within those boundaries; and WHEREAS , it is necessary to execute an addendum to said Intergovernmental Agreement to modify the existing service area boundaries so that a new trunk sewer line can be accommodated and to establish a policy regarding District standby taps already located in the service area to be allocated to the City; and WHEREAS, the standby tap policy specified in the Addendum would provide compensation to the City for assuming responsibility for serving these taps without additional cost to the owners of the taps; and WHEREAS, the City/District Steering Committee, both District Boards and the City Water Board have reviewed and approved the proposed boundary change and the proposed standby tap policy as presented in the Addendum to Intergovernmental Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute an Addendum to the Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Fort Collins, the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District and the South Fort Collins Sanitation District which provides for a revision to existing service area boundaries and establishes a policy regarding District standby taps located in the City's service area.
