OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE
BY AND THROUGH THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF THE
ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING TRANSFORT SERVICES
TO THE STUDENT BODY
WHEREAS, a prior agreement requires that the City of Fort Collins
provide Transfort services to the student body of Colorado State University
until January 20, 1986; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City and the students of
Colorado State University that the City continue to provide Transfort
services to those students ; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Associated Students of Colorado State
University have successfully negotiated an agreement which contains the
provisions set out more particularly below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with the State Board of Agriculture by and through the
Executive Branch of the Associated Students of Colorado State University
for the purpose of providing Transfort service to the students of Colorado
State University from January 20, 1986 until January 20, 1987. The terms
of said agreement shall include the following provisions:
1. The City shall provide Transfort services to CSU students from
January 20, 1986 to January 20, 1987.
2. The Associated Students of Colorado State University shall pay the
City of Fort Collins the sum of three dollars and thirty cents
($3.30) per semester for each full -time, fee-paying student. In
addition, the Office of International Training Programs (OITP) will
pay three dollars and thirty cents ($3.30) per student per semester
for international students enrolled in their program.
3. The City will allow full -time, fee-paying students and OITP
students presenting valid identification to ride Transfort without
further charge.
4. The City shall provide a specified level of publicity to inform the
students of the availability of Transfort services.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 21st day of January, A.D. 1986.
