OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS
TO THE FARE CHARGED TO YOUTH, SENIOR AND
HANDICAPPED RIDERS ON THE TRANSFORT BUS SYSTEM
WHEREAS, fares charged to ride the City of Fort Collins Transfort bus
system are fifty-five cents ($.55) per ride for senior and handicapped
persons during peak hours, twenty-five cents ($.25) per ride for senior and
handicapped persons during non-peak hours, and fifty-five cents ($.55) per
ride at any time of the day for youth (ages seventeen and under) ; and
WHEREAS, staff has recommended a fare of thirty cents ($.30) per ride
at any time of the day for these three categories of riders senior,
handicapped and youth, to eliminate the confusion of the various fares and
to increase the convenience of riding the Transfort bus system; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held on December 11 , 1985, and no
objections were raised to this proposed rate adjustment.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to change
the fare charged to senior, handicapped, and youth riders of the Transfort
bus system to thirty cents ($.30) per ride at any time of the day.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
7th day of January, A.D. 1986.
