OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING A $78,879 CHANGE ORDER TO THE CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT WITH OLSON CONSTRUCTION FOR THE WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT NO. 2 MODIFICATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, in June of 1986 a construction contract was awarded to Olson
Construction for the modification of Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that various necessary items
associated with electrical power and instrumentation were omitted from the
bidding documents pertinent to the contract awarded to Olson Construction;
and
WHEREAS, installation of these items requires a change order in the
amount of Seventy-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy-Nine Dollars
($78,879. ) ; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Project Management/Control System of the City of
Fort Collins requires that the City Council must approve all change orders
in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000. ) ; and
WHEREAS , the cost of the change order will be shared with
Anheuser-Busch and the City; and
WHEREAS, the Ten Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy-Nine Dollars
($10,879.) which is the City's portion of the change order is available in
the authorized project budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a change order in the amount of Seventy-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred
and Seventy-Nine Dollars ($78,879. ) to the construction contract awarded to
Olson Construction for the Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 Modifications
Project.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
21st day of April , A.D. 1987.
