OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH ROCKY MOUNTAIN
CONSULTANTS FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING
OF THE NORTHEAST LOOP WATERLINE
WHEREAS, the Northeast Loop Waterline is to be constructed to improve
service, provide additional fire protection and improve reliability of
service to customers in the northeast portion of the City; and
WHEREAS, in December of 1986 Request for Proposals were released to
solicit consultants who would provide design and construction engineering
services for the Northeast Loop Waterline; and
WHEREAS, a selection committee interviewed four consultants and
selected Rocky Mountain Consultants as the firm best qualified to perform
the work as stated in the RFP; and
WHEREAS, Rocky Mountain Consultants will perform the work for a cost
not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty-Four
Dollars ($132,334. ) ; and
WHEREAS, monies are budgeted, and available in the 1987 Water Fund to
cover the cost of the services of Rocky Mountain Consultants; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000. ) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a professional services agreement with Rocky Mountain Consultants for
the design and construction engineering of the Northeast Loop Waterline,
said services to be performed by Rocky Mountain Consultants for a sum not
to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty-Four
Dollars ($132,334.) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 17th day of March, A.D. 1987.
