HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-004-01/06/1987-HISTORICAL OPERA HOUSE PARKING AGREEMENT PARTNERSHIP LTD RESOLUTION 87- 4 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PARKING AGREEMENT WITH THE HISTORICAL OPERA HOUSE PARTNERSHIP, LTD. WHEREAS, on April 28, 1986 the City Planning and Zoning Board approved the Opera House Block Building, P.U.D. ; and WHEREAS, as a part of the planning process of the aforementioned Opera House Block Building P.U.D. , certain parking needs were identified; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to secure parking for the project to help promote planned economic growth in the downtown area; and WHEREAS, the City Parking Commission, Planning and Zoning Board and The Historical Opera House Partnership, Ltd. , the developer of the Opera House Block Building P.U.D. , (the "Developer") have agreed in concept to a plan in which the City will lease to the Developer a maximum of one hundred and eighty-five (185) parking spaces in City-managed parking lots to be used by employees of the Opera House P.U.D. ; and WHEREAS, the Developer has agreed to pay the City in advance a lease rate of Ten Dollars ($10) per month per space plus any additional sum necessary to match the existing market rate which fee will provide income to the City Parking Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute an agreement with the Historical Opera House Partnership, Ltd. for the lease of a maximum of one hundred and eighty-five (185) parking spaces in City-managed parking lots for a term of twenty-five (25) years, said spaces to provide parking facilities for the employees of the Opera House P.U.D. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 6th day of January, A.D. 1987. Mayor ATTEST: City C40�
