HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-002-01/06/1987-GOULD MODICON EQUIPMENT PURCHASE TREATMENT PLANTS WATER AND WASTEWATER RESOLUTION 87- 2 -- - OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROVING A PURCHASE NOT REQUIRING BIDDING OF GOULD MODICON EQUIPMENT FOR ALL WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS WHEREAS, Gould Modicon programmable controller equipment is currently used in all City water and wastewater treatment plants as part of the automated process used in the treatment of water and wastewater; and WHEREAS, this equipment meets City standards of performance and reliability and its continued use also allows standardization in training; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-60 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins the purchase of supplies may be negotiated where it is not practical to secure the purchase of such item by formal bid procedure; and WHEREAS, the equipment can be purchased through distributors at a fifteen percent (15%) discount or from the manufacturer at a twenty-five percent (25%) discount; and WHEREAS, the total price of the equipment less a twenty-five percent (25%) discount is Twenty-Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-One Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($28,731.75) ; and WHEREAS, monies are budgeted and available for this purchase; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-59 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins no purchase in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) shall be made until approved by the City Council in an open Council meeting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the purchase of Gould Modicon Equipment for use as part of the automated treatment process in City water and wastewater treatment plants be, and it hereby is , approved at a cost not to exceed Twenty-Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-One Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($28,731.75) . Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 6th day of January, A.D. 1987. Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk
