HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-019-03/17/1987-APPLICATION FEE SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT RESOLUTION 87-19 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT APPLICATION FEE WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has approved on first reading Ordinance No. 18, 1987 adding Chapter 92, "Special Events", to the Code of the City of Fort Collins; and WHEREAS, Chapter 92 of the Code establishes the standards for the issuance of a permit for parades, athletic events, and other special events in the City; and WHEREAS, Section 92-4 of the Code as contained in said Ordinance provides that if the applicant is a profit-making organization, the application for a permit shall be accompanied by a non-refundable permit application fee in an amount set by City Council Resolution; and WHEREAS, said fee is to cover the full cost of processing and investigating such special event permit applications and administering the special event permit program; and WHEREAS, staff has estimated such administrative costs and informed the Council that a fee of TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($25.00) per application submitted by profit-making organizations should cover such costs; and WHEREAS, such fees may be changed by resolution when deemed appropriate by the City Council . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the special event permit application fee be, and the same hereby is, established in the amount of TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($25.00) for all profit-making organizations, until changed by further resolution of the City Council . The fees are effective upon the effective date of Ordinance No. 18, 1987. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 17th day of March, A.D. 1987. jia_ ATTEST: !% City Clerk
