HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-181-12/15/1987-FRONT RANGE FARMS II INITIATING ANNEXATION RESOLUTION 87- 181 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS FINDING SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE AND INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS FOR THE FRONT RANGE FARMS II WHEREAS, a written petition, together with four (4) prints of an annexation map, was heretofore filed with the City Clerk requesting the annexation of certain property to be known as the Front Range Farms II Annexation more particularly described as situate in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to wit: A tract of land situate in the Southwest Quarter of Section 3, and the Northwest Quarter of Section 10, both in Township 7 North, Range 68 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Larimer County, Colorado, which considering the West line of said Southwest Quarter as bearing North 00'05'15" East, and with all bearings contained herein relative thereto; Beginning at a point which bears South 89°32'23" East 609. 10 feet from the Southwest Corner of said Section 3, and run thence South 00°27'37" West 30.00 feet to the South Right of Way line of East Vine Drive; thence along said line South 89°32'23" East 943.75 feet; thence North 00°27'37" East 30.00 feet; thence North 47'52'00" West 470.00 feet; thence North 61°53'30" East 442.39 feet; thence North 00°05'34" West 158.82 feet; thence South 89°32'23" East 1040.00 feet; thence North 00°05'34" West 879.00 feet; thence North 67°41'06" West 1050.00 feet; thence North 63°36'06" West 495.00 feet; thence South 00°21'00" West 868.97 feet; thence North 89°39'00" West 699.97 feet; thence North 00°21'00" West 300.00 feet; thence North 89°35'00" West 480.67 feet; thence South 00021'00" West 1036.71 feet; thence South 18004'30" East 517.30 feet; thence South 83031'30" East 423.40 feet; thence South 29.40 feet, more or less to the Point of Beginning. Containing 79.45 Acres, more or less. to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to initiate annexation proceedings in accordance with law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS: Section 1 . That the City Council hereby accepts said annexation petition, finds and determines that the annexation petition and accompanying map are in substantial compliance with Section 31-12-107, C.R.S. , and desire to initiate annexation proceedings in accordance with law. Section 2. That the Notice attached hereto be adopted a part of this Resolution. Said Notice establishes the date, time and place when a public hearing will be held regarding the passage of an annexation ordinance pertaining to the above described property. The City Clerk is directed to publish a copy of this Resolution and said Notice as provided in Section 31-12-108(2) , C.R.S. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 15th day of December, A.D. i Mayor` ATTEST: City Clerk NOTICE TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Council of the City of Fort Collins has adopted a Resolution initiating annexation proceedings for the Front Range Farms II Annexation, said Annexation being more particularly described in said Resolution, a copy of which precedes this Notice. That, on January 19, 1988, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may come on for hearing in the Council Chambers in the City Hall , 300 LaPorte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, the Fort Collins City Council will hold a public hearing upon the annexation petition for the purpose of finding and determining whether the property proposed to be annexed meets the applicable requirements of Colorado law and is considered eligible for annexation. At such hearing, any persons may appear and present such evidence as they may desire. Dated this 15th day of December, A.D. 1987. City Clerk
