OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN CAPITAL EQUIPMENT PURCHASES
FOR THE EDORA POOL & ICE CENTER
WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution 85-195 on October 15,
1985; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 85-195 called for the delay of the purchase of
certain capital tools/equipment and office furnishings for the Edora Pool
and Ice Center (EPIC) ; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 85-195 required a review of the project
contingency by City staff and City Council ; and
WHEREAS, the construction of EPIC has proceeded well and savings in
the amount of FIVE HUNDRED NINE THOUSAND THIRTY-NINE DOLLARS ($509,039)
have been identified; and
WHEREAS, City Council directed that project savings could be used for
the purchase of such equipment and furnishings upon review by Council ; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified a list of critical , high priority items
which are necessary to the proper and efficient operation of the facility;
and
WHEREAS, many of the items will impact program operation and thereby
produce revenue or reduce expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the cost of these high priority items is FORTY-THREE THOUSAND
EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($43,800) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to purchase
certain high priority items for EPIC and further that the sum of
FORTY-THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($43,800) in savings from the
project is hereby released for expenditure on these items.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 20th day of January, A.D. 1 87.
