OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH JAMES M.
MONTGOMERY ENGINEERS FOR SITE SELECTION, DESIGN
AND MANAGEMENT OF THE SEPTAGE TRANSFER STATION
WHEREAS, in August, 1987, the City of Fort Collins entered into an
intergovernmental agreement with Larimer County to provide for the
treatment of septic wastes; and
WHEREAS, on September 10, 1987, the City issued a Request for
Proposals for site selection, design and part-time construction management
services for the Septage Transfer Station; and
WHEREAS, thirteen (13) proposals were received and reviewed by the
City's selection committee; and
WHEREAS, the selection committee has recommended James M. Montgomery
Engineers, Aurora, Colorado, as the professional to be selected for the
site selection, design and part-time construction management services; and
WHEREAS, James M. Montgomery Engineers has proposed to perform such
services for a sum not to exceed Forty-seven Thousand Four Hundred Dollars
($47,400) ; and
WHEREAS, in consideration of the aforesaid sum, James M. Montgomery
Engineers has agreed to perform certain services in phases, including
facility siting, conceptual and final design, and construction services;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a Professional Services Agreement, acceptable to the City, with James
M. Montgomery Engineers for the site selection, design and management of
the Septage Transfer Station, said services to be performed by James M.
Montgomery Engineers for a sum not to exceed Forty-seven Thousand Four
Hundred Dollars ($47,400) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 17th day of November, A.D. 1987.
