OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE LIBRARY BOARD TO
CONDUCT A STUDY OF PUBLIC LIBRARY SERVICES AND NEEDS
IN FORT COLLINS
WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Fort Collins Public Library Board is
to influence the future of the Fort Collins Public Library through
planning; and
WHEREAS, doing a study of the public library services and needs in
Fort Collins will assist in that planning process; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the interests of the
public to have such a study available to it, the CHOICES 95 committee and
the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Library Board is hereby authorized and directed to do a
study of Public Library services and needs in Fort Collins, to include such
subjects as the history of the Library, the status of its collection and
services, demographic information relating to its users, relationships with
other community agencies, libraries and information centers, comparison
with other communities in terms of needs and services, and evaluating
various options and alternatives regarding future services.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 20th day of October, A.D. 1987.
