OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH MOORE GOVERNMENTAL SYSTEMS, INC.
FOR SOFTWARE AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR A
UTILITY CUSTOMER SERVICES AND BILLING SYSTEM
WHEREAS, in November, 1986, the City Council authorized a study of the
City's present Utility Billing System; and
WHEREAS, this study, involving employees from six City departments,
documented the need for and justified this purchase of a pre-written
Utility Customer Service and Billing System; and
WHEREAS, in January, 1988, the City issued a request for proposals for
such a software package; and
WHEREAS, the proposal offered to the City by Moore Governmental
Systems, Inc. in the amount of One Hundred Ninety-seven Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($197,500) was judged by this selection team to be superior
to the other proposals reviewed; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-120 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, any contract for products and services at a cost exceeding Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20,000) must be approved by City Council .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Purchasing Agent be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a contract with Moore Governmental Systems, Inc. for software and
professional services for a Utility Customer Service and Billing System for
a sum not to exceed One Hundred Ninety Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($197,500) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 16th day of August, A.D. 1988.
