HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-033-02/17/1987-AGREEMENT COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY CSU CAMPUS POTABLE WATER SAMPLE TESTING RESOLUTION 87-33 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY TO PROVIDE POTABLE WATER SAMPLE TESTING FOR THE CSU CAMPUS WHEREAS, State primary drinking water regulations require minimum water testing for different water systems located within the Fort Collins area; and WHEREAS, the water system serving Colorado State University should be considered a separate water system for testing requirements; and WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City of Fort Collins that testing be accomplished at Colorado State University since the City of Fort Collins supplies water to that facility; and WHEREAS, the City has entered into an agreement with Colorado State University since 1963 for said testing services; and WHEREAS, the most recently executed agreement has expired and another agreement needs to be entered into to continue the testing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an agreement with Colorado State University under the terms of which the University would perform water testing in accordance with State requirements for the period January 1, 1987 through December 31, 1988, for a sum not to exceed Two Thousand Five Hundred and Ten Dollars ($2,510.00) in 1987 and a sum not to exceed Two Thousand Six Hundred and Thirty-Five Dollars ($2,635.00) in 1988.
